WHY WALK BAREFOOT?

You are required to bring shoes on all tours but Barefoot Tours encourages bare feet when suitable to experience these often forgotten about natural well-being benefits.

 

Research shows that in as little as 30 minutes grounding will create positive internal changes and benefits in particular to your blood, energy and mood.

Embracing mother nature with our bare feet is proven to produce the following positive changes :

We are very lucky in our safe and beautiful New Zealand to have abundant natural terrain that is suitable for barefoot walking. Not to mention a lack of scorpions, spiders and snakes!

I'm here proud and excited as a keen venturer of New Zealand to connect you to this place of beauty through fun filled group tours.

Being a lifelong passionate explorer and growing up with two adventurous younger brothers I've found some of the very best adventure spots within my home city. I’ve also discovered the many wellbeing benefits of exploring nature barefoot - and I want to show them to you!

From the towering views and wild natural elements on the west coast to the interesting sights and activities in the heart of the CBD. Let me personally guide you through this magical place of the Southern Hemisphere and share with you the wild fun and beauty I have come to discover here.

 

From a billionaire service background I am security trained, advanced first aid qualified, fun loving and professionally safety conscious for your guidance, enjoyment and assistance!

SUITABLE FOOTWEAR

Crocs are my chosen footwear when bare feet are not suitable. Although super ugly they are light and durable. I find they provide a great non-slip step while being extremely comfortable and the best thing about them is the quick barefoot transition. So far these ugly buggers are the most ideal footwear I have come across for Barefoot Tours adventures.

 

 Otherwise your own comfortable hiking shoes will suffice but be prepared to remove them, be carried or get them wet when we cross water at Piha or Bethell's Beach.

Although quick to barefoot transition, Jandals, Thongs or Slides are not suitable footwear for Barefoot Tours adventures.

​

We know we are spending too much time inside, looking at screens - Insulated from mother natures energies. So much so that its taking a toll on our health, physically and mentally. We've forgotten that our ancestors evolved in close connection with earth and its natural elements. Theres no doubt about it, we are designed to be barefoot. We go from square box to square box in an air conditioned vessel, walking on concrete, speaking to screens and eating horrifically! No wonder we feel disconnected.
